Through this site we are compiling people’s stories of their journey of eye loss.

The purpose of the stories is to help others going, or about to go through a similar journey.

While we have some wonderful stories contributed to the site, sometimes we need to look a bit further to find relevant and interesting stories to share. I had the good fortune to come across Debbie Atkinsons story on the net.

Debbie takes us on her journey of 20 years as she is diagnosed with Glaucoma in her right eye at the age of 20. After years of pain and discomfort she faces the decision to have her blind painful eye removed at the age of 40.  Her story is personal and honest as she talks about her fears and emotions of the highs and lows of her journey.
